Hey, I'm Cassie.

The Social Media Specialist I've been doing social media since 2008. I've managed, consulted, and built social media programs in both corporate and freelance settings. I enjoy helping business owners and managers learn to get better results out of their social media, without wasting a lot of time. I'm also a very geeky bookworm, who loves to read and watch fantasy and sci-fi, and play board games with my family. I’m currently working on redoing my online course “Build Email Lists Fast with Facebook Contests”, and a novel that I’m writing during NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). If you need Social Media help, check out my site here.

62 Scenes: Why I’m Entering NaNoWriMo This Year

This year, I decided to do NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) again. It’s been 5 years since I’ve actually signed up to do it. The first time I didn’t even get through half the word count needed to “win”. I tried again a couple of years ago, and I made it a couple of days […]

I’m Cool With Where I’m At Right Now, Because I Know This isn’t It

So, yesterday was my Birthday. I say that only because it’s become tradition, over the last couple of years, to write a blog post on or around my birthday. Mostly to document where I’m at and what has led me here. I started it a couple of years ago, because I was searching for something. […]

October 2014 Goals: Day 6 Update

Yikes! Days 3, 4 & 5 were no-gos for actually publishing content. I did work on some stuff, but didn’t finish anything. Today, however, I did two different bit of content, and worked on my other goals. Here’s the round-up. Content Goal Today I updated my Elance Profile. I didn’t realize that I never finished […]

October 2014 Goals: Day 2 Update

It’s day 2 of working on my October goals and here’s how it went down. Content Goal Just finished posting a slideshare that was repurposed content from a blog post a few days ago. I elected to actually “redo” the power point rather than turn the blog post into a pdf and post it. Mostly […]

October 2014 Goals: Content and Income are King

So, I’ve been reading Neville Medhora’s blog for a while now. Brilliant guy, by the way. You should check out his blog, if you get the chance. Anyway, one of the things he does that I admire is to write out his goals and post them to his blog every month. Most of his “goal” […]

About Starting Over and Moving Past Anger

So, I’m starting over again. Which is a position I’d rather not be in at the moment. I thought I had more time before I jumped into working for myself again. In other words, I was trying to avoid the actual “starting without a safety net” part. Unfortunately, we don’t always get to decide what […]

My Year of 30, an Update

Wow! I just realized it’s been a whole year since I posted to the blog. A whole-freakin’-year. I thought surely I had posted something. I’ve sure got enough blog post drafts sitting in my Evernote right now. Somehow, though, they never got finished. Which is the story of most of my year 30. Most of […]

Changes And A Wish For My Birthday

This post has been a long time coming. Mostly, I’ve put it off, because I wasn’t sure how to handle it. I’ve been so scattered lately. Making plans for the blog, and then not following through with them. Then starting my business and a new blog. Making plans to train for a 5k, write an […]

Facebook Is Insular: Observations Regarding Facebook’s New Support for Hashtags

Today is the big day! Hashtags are rolling out to Facebook! So say all the headlines across the web. It’s an exciting concept, to be sure. Facebook is one of the social networks that has held out the longest on enabling support for hashtags. I’m not sure why, honestly, since hashtags are a really great […]

Most people who know me know that a lot of the services I offer for social media center around management. Management is an incredibly rewarding service that benefits both me and the business owner.
